Teresa Christie

FAAST Director

Teresa became involved with food allergy advocacy in 2011 when she joined her good friend, Heather Yee, on the planning committee for the first FAAN Walk for Food Allergy in Cincinnati. Since then, she has helped plan and coordinate the 2013 and 2014 FARE Walk for Food Allergy.

Wanting to do more, Teresa began looking for opportunities to start a support group, which led her to FAAST. As Director, she looks forward to sharing information and creating a community of support that those living with food allergies can access throughout the year.

Teresa lives with a peanut allergy and she and her husband have two children with multiple food allergies. Their daughter is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and their son is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, dairy, egg, sesame, fish, bananas and beef.

Cindy published a cookbook entitled Great Foods without Worry to help others learning to bake with multiple food restrictions.

She and her husband, Oscar Moseley, III, have two children. Their son, Jonathan, is allergic to peanuts, fish, and eggs. Their daughter, Katie, is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, and eggs.

Jennifer Hogan Redmond

FAAST Founder & Consultant

Jennifer and her husband, Mark, developed FAAST, Inc. in 1996 when their son with food allergies entered kindergarten. This effort to meet other parents coping with food-induced anaphylaxis snowballed into one of the country’s largest independent nonprofit organizations dedicated to local food allergy support and education.

For many years, Jennifer worked with the former Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (now Food Allergy Research and Education) and with local parents, allergists and the Cincinnati community to increase awareness of severe food allergy and to assist in the development and funding of area educational programs. Today, she assists FAAST as a consultant, works as marketing director for Food Plant Engineering; Hendon Redmond Group and provides freelance writing services for publications and medical practices. Jennifer’s son has managed his food allergies well and is now an independent adult. He has traveled the world successfully with emergency medication and a selection of safe food.

Mark Redmond

FAAST Founder & Consultant

Mark co-founded FAAST, Inc. and today serves as a consultant for the organization. Trained as a mechanical engineer, he is president of Food Plant Engineering; Hendon Redmond Group, a Cincinnati-based firm specializing in the design of food facilities. As the father of a young adult with food-induced anaphylaxis, Mark is especially interested in allergen control in manufacturing facilities and is a frequent speaker and national consultant on this topic.
